“Tony Abbott, our maligned little leader”
Posted by Claire Connelly in Humour, Politics
In the spirit of Abbott’s liberal insurgency, this song is entitled “Tony Abbott, our maligned little leader” (to the tune of “I still call Australia Home”).
He dreams of cities that only bow down
to The Father, The Son, The Pope, & The Crown
but no matter how far, or how wide he roams
The Vatican will always be home.
So long as he’s leader we’ll never be free.
As long as he sides with the Church and not me.
I can’t believe this was the choice from all three.
It’s a labour election victory.
No votes from Mums & moderates,
No votes from young boys and girls
He’ll need his conservative friends.
And as the election gets closer and closer
it’s good to know, when his journey will end.
Someday we’ll all be together once more,
A double dissolution is almost for sure
We’ll be begging for Malcom or even for Joe
To Abbott Australia says NO!

umm… I am not
